[edit] Background

Sol Campbell is a former England international defender who currently plays for Arsenal of the Barclays Premier League after signing a short term deal until the end of the season. Campbell has enjoyed an illustrious and trophy laden playing career, which includes winning the League Cup with Tottenham Hotspur in 1999, two Barclays Premier League titles, three FA Cup's, two Community Shield's with Arsenal and another FA Cup with Portsmouth in 2008. Campbell was also a member of the Arsenal Invincibles who went the whole of the 2003-04 season unbeaten in the league. Campbell made his debut at the age of 18 for Tottenham Hotspur, before controversially moving to London rivals Arsenal in 2001 under the Bosman ruling. After five hugely successful years at Arsenal, Campbell left to join Portsmouth on a free transfer. Whilst at Portsmouth, Campbell captained the team to an FA Cup final victory over Cardiff City in 2008. In a surprise move at the end of 2008-2009 season, Campbell sensationally moved to Coca-Cola League 2 side Notts County on a free transfer signing a five year deal, to be reunited with former England coach Sven-Göran Eriksson. However, in September 2009, Campbell left the club after only one appearance. In January 2010, after appearing in a reserve game against West Ham United, Campbell signed until the end of the season for former club Arsenal.

[edit] In FIFA 10

In FIFA 10, Campbell plays for Notts County, where he is rated as a 78. Campbell is by far the best player in the Coca-Cola League Two, which should reflect in his performances for you. Despite his age, Campbell will play a huge role for you when managing Notts County, and you should look to build your team around him, as he will keep the defence tight. It is near impossible to prise Campbell away from Notts County, so it is recommended that you look for an alternative, as you will be wasting your time by pursuing him. In the January transfer update, Campbell is likely to feature in the Arsenal squad list, now that his move has been finalised.
