The United States national football (soccer) team is the one of three professional teams that hail from North America. With a rating of three and a half stars in FIFA 09, USA is recognized as a somewhat above average team, however progressively improving. Its most notable players include Tim Howard (GK), Clint Dempsey (MF), and Landon Donovan (FW). Donovan, the prominent US striker, is also currently playing for the German football club Bayern Munich.

The USA's current home kit includes a white and light gray, blue collared jersey with red stripes running horizontally across the shirt, blue shorts, and white tube socks. The away kit consists of a gray, red collared jersey, gray shorts and tube socks.
