Russia are a European based International team who are rated 4(1/2) stars on FIFA 09. Their most notable players are Igor Akinfeev, Sergei Ignashevich, Yuri Zhirkov, Andrei Arshavin and Roman Pavlyuchenko. Russia are probably one of the best International teams on the game who are not rated 5 stars. They have a couple of world class players, and a few other players who don't get recognized for their talent. In goal they have Igor Akinfeev who is one of the best goalkeepers on FIFA 09, and probably someone who is underrated a lot of the time. He can be rely on to get Russia out of trouble if need be. In defense the Russians have Ignashevich who plays in the centre. He, like most of the Russian squad is highly underrated, and is a player who could and should be regarded as one of the games' top defenders. In midfield are Zhirkov and Andrei Arshavin who are both talented, quick and have the ability to win the game for Russia. Arshavin especially, who is one of the more gifted players in the squad. The Arsenal playmaker has speed, agility, and good dribbling skills on his side, making him the gem of the midfield system and undoubtedly Russia's beat player. Upfront is Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko, a player who can finish chances with ease when presented to him. A brilliant team, Russia have the potential to beat anyone.
