Paul Scholes is an English midfielder who currently plays for Manchester United of the Barclays Premiership. Having spent his whole footballing career at the club, he is considered by many to be of the best players of his generation. Although one of the oldest players in the squad, he is still an important member of the team but because of his age, his pace does let him down and is sometimes replaced in the starting line-up by the much younger Anderson. His main strengths undoubtedly are his passing and ball control, which is very effective when needing to keep the ball or play a through ball to the strikers. He can also be deadly when given space to shoot from outside the box.
