Michael Turner is an English defender who currently plays for Sunderland of the Barclays Premier League. In the summer of 2009, Turner signed from Hull City for a fee of £4M. Turner is known as a strong defender who poses a great aerial threat, and should play alongside either Anton Ferdinand or John Mensah in the Sunderland starting line-up.
