Michael Owen currently plays for Manchester United and has been for large portions of his career an England international. He is currently England's fourth top goalscorer of all time with 40 and leading competitive goal scorer with 26. He was also 2001's world player of the year.

He started his career at Liverpool winning the League Cup twice, the FA Cup and the UEFA Cup. He then moved to Real Madrid for two years scoring 13 goals in 35 games. Due to limited starts and moving into a World Cup year, Owen looked to move on and joined Newcastle United for a club record fee. His first two years were blighted by injury as he suffered a broken foot and then ruptured ligaments in his knee at the World Cip which kept him out for most of the subsequent season. Following the Magpies' relegation in 2009, he left the club when his contract expired with a record of 26 goals in 71 appearance and shortly thereafter joined the Red Devils.

He has so far appeared in every FIFA game except the EURO 2008 game, FIFA 96 and it's prequel FIFA Soccer 95. He appeared in the latest game FIFA 09 playing for Newcastle United.
