Michael Carrick is an English midfielder who currently plays for Manchester United of the Barclays Premiership and is part of the England squad. Carrick is often labelled as an unsung hero for United because of his passing ability and vision of players making runs. This is reflected on FIFA 09 with his passing and vision attributes being high into the 80's. He is most effective when played as a CDM in a 4-1-2-1-2 formation and will always be there to help out in defense when required. Due to his passing attributes, he can be a danger when playing through killer balls to the strikers and with this will come plenty of goals. His main weakness can sometimes be his pace, but with Vidic and Ferdinand as back-up behind him in defense, and the array of quick players infront of him in attack, this is usually not a problem.
