Elokobi joined non-league Dulwich Hamlet after arriving in England from Cameroon in 2002, recently after he joined Colchester United. After a one month loan to Chester in 2005, he went on to become a well established first team player for Colchester making his professional debut against Swansea. After being prompted to for a transfer move to Wolverhampton Wanderers he finally gave in and became a first team regular in 2005.
