FIFA 06 was released around September/October time in 2005. It's predocessor is FIFA Football 2005 and the sequel to the game is FIFA 07. The commentary is by Clive Tyldesley and Andy Gray. The tagline for the game is 'You play. They obey.'

There is around than 500 teams in 26 leagues, 40 national teams and around 10,000 licensed players. Career mode is now a 15 year journey, career mode also was revamped with new things such as sponsors, morale and the ability to upgrade coaches.
