Darren Carter is a midfielder who currently plays in the Coca-Cola Championship for Preston North End. During his career he has played for Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion and has also had a lengthy loan spell at Sunderland. He has represented the England national team at the Under-20 level, but has not yet been capped fully. His strongest position is centre-midfield, but he can fill in on either flank if needed, and he has an ability to score goals from distance.
